Steps and Timeframes

Steps  Timeframe for assessment
Step 1: Eligibility Check – Complete and submit the eligibility form. Our team will assess it to confirm you meet the eligibility criteria. If you are found to be ineligible, you will not be able to submit a full application.   Up to 6 weeks
Step 2: Grant Application – If you are confirmed as eligible, we’ll provide the full application form for you to formally apply for the grant. 3 months
Step 3: Funding Agreement – If your application is successful, a funding agreement will be set up between your business and Aboriginal Investment NT. Funding will only be provided once a signed funding agreement is in place. 2-12 Weeks
Step 4: Final Report and Acquittal – To finish your project with us, you must complete a final report and a financial report (acquittal). If you have any money left over, it must be paid back to Aboriginal Investment. 12 months after signed funding agreement
 

Note: If the applicant has a Conflict of interest with the decision maker at Aboriginal investment, this may delay assessment of the application. In addition during Christmas Holiday period Aboriginal investment NT will be closed for 2 weeks and this will delay assessment times.

You can apply again for an Eligibility check in Business Round 3. If you do, you must fix the issue that made your application ineligible the first time. We will check this when we assess your new eligibility application.
